Relationship Abuse: More Than Just Physical Violence

It's shocking: Statistics repeatedly show that violence -- physical, verbal, emotional and psychological -- is extremely common in teen relationships. Now researchers are hearing a similar story from preteens, too.

A new article in the Baltimore Sun revealed that 40% of kids between the ages of 11 and 12 have a friend who's been verbally abused. Verbal abuse can include calling someone names or putting down the way they look, act or think. It's often much, much more than this, though.
