Ride Your Bike, Save Your Money

The L.A. Times recently reported that more teens are getting credit cards, and that their No. 1 credit card purchase is gasoline. Even if you have a part-time job, buying gas can make that money disappear quickly.

The experts in the article say that sticking to a budget is a good way of dealing with this problem. Yes, budgeting is an important skill, but here's another idea: Consider riding a bike, especially if the town you live in has decent bike paths and street lanes for bicyclists.
