According to a new study by Marist College, the most annoying word you can say in a conversation is "whatever."
As in, "Pssh, whatever."
Some other words that the study says people get annoyed by: "you know," "it is what it is," and "anyway."
Eh. It might be kind of irritating to be on the receiving end of a "whatever," but sometimes it's just the perfect thing to say. You know?

“Like” sure I do. Like it drives me crazy when I start counting all the “Likes” kids put in their conversations.
I have a horrible habit of saying the word “like.” And I only use the word “whatever” when I’m annoyed about something. I hope I don’t use anymore… :p

i hate when i’ve said all i had to say and the person just looks at me and says, “oh.”
I need to reduce my excessive use of “like”, “um”, “you know”, “anyway”, “so yeah”, “whatever”, “or something”, and “I dunno”, and I need to avoid starting my sentences with the word “and”. But how? I suppose if I just make a conscious effort to pay attention to what’s coming out of my mouth and know pretty much what I’m about to say before I say it, my speech will improve some…
