FORUM GAME RULES

Official Rules

You don’t need to buy anything to enter. You must have a Delphi Account with an up-to-date email address in your profile. You must live in the United States or Canada to claim a prize, but anyone can play. However, you can’t play to win if you live in Florida or Quebec or if it’s illegal to play where you live. Many will play, but only a few will win prizes.

1. TO ENTER.

These games are randomly played at the Teen Advice Forum, you must use the forum to participate:

  • To enter the sweepstakes online, simply play the game as outlined at the "start game" post on the Teen Advice Forum. Follow the instructions in the that post and add posts to the thread as required. Not all game posts/threads are part of the contest, only posts/threads that specify a prize award are subject to these rules. There are many games played at the forum purely for fun with no promised or implied reward or prize. If you are under the age of 18 and you are the thread winner, you will be asked to provide your parent’s or legal guardian’s e-mail address so that we can get their permission for you to collect your prize.

You play by posting to the appropriate thread at the Teen Advice Forum. By posting in thread you are agreeing to these rules and stating that you have understood and accepted them. If you play the game without understanding and accepting these rules in advance, you are ineligible to collect any prizes. These rules apply to any and all Forum Games which offer a prize or reward and are started by the Teen Advice Guide using the User Name ab-teenadvice. No other game are subject to these rules. Games started by other members or guest posters are not subject to these rules and ARE IN NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH ABOUT.COM, TEEN ADVICE or the TEEN ADVICE GUIDE. We assume no responsibility for games started by anyone other than the Teen Advice Guide using the User Name ab-teenadvice and are not responsible for any implied or promised rewards or prizes in such a game.

2. SELECTION OF WINNER AND WHO CAN PLAY.

The winner will be the person who first achieves the goal as stated in the "start game" post. Game posts/threads are randomly started at the Teen Advice Forum and will be clearly identified as a game in the text of the initial post with the following phrase; "THIS IS AN OFFICIAL GAME THREAD WITH A PRIZE".

All winners will be contacted using the Delphi Forum member messaging system. In order to claim your prize you must have an accurate and up to date email address listed with Delphi. We are not responsible if winners can not be contacted due to an incorrect email address or any technical or other problems at Delphi.
