  • Then my friend truly upset me. He wants revenge. He doesn't care about the consequences, he just wants to bomb someone. If we have this sort of attitude it will be terrible for everyone. The people who died today didn't do anything to deserve it. Do we really need to put another country through this? Find the guilty, persecute them, but leave the innocents alone.

  • What a day today for me was cuz my school is around 5 blocks away from the World Trade Center... kinda scary too... my friends thought they were filming a movie when the first plane crashed... as the second plane hits. It was so sad... some people in my class started crying because they had a parent who worked there.... around 10 or so we were forced to evacutate the building and walk uptown... there were people jumping out of the WTC building because they had nowhere to go...

  • I think that part of the problem is that the whole founding of Israel is pretty absurd. After WWII, the allies simply carved a piece out of Palestine and gave it to the jews. I have no problem with jewish people, but I must say that the Palestinians have a valid point. Now if that country carved up had been America, divided up by a higher power, think how much Americans would hate the power.

  • I don't think America should be the world's babysitter. The babysitter just got smacked for a problem on the other side of the planet.

  • Today (09/11/01) has been a sad sad day. Many thousands of lives have been ended, many tears shed, many families left devastated and left to deal with a deep hole of grief in their heart. Please, whatever your religion.... pray. Also, please for your own sake tell everyone that you love exactly that. You never know what's going to happen and there is nothing worse than that feeling of regret of leaving or having someone leave you knowing you did not express your love for them. May God be with us all through the night... and through the next few days as bodies are found, buried, grieved, or healed.

  • No matter how insensitive (some of) the people in the Middle East seem, there are still families who live there and children and innocent people who have loved ones... So I think the only way we can prove to them that were a "good" country, is to not resort to violence. It would just make the world worse than it is now. I don't know a lot about this kinda stuff (I'm only 15), and this is all up to President Bush. I'm just saying that in general, we shouldn't have to attack or bomb a country to prove a point.
