Hi everybody, Bobbi here. Hope everyone's doing great tonight, I'm looking forward to our talk. |
Hi Bobbi, thanks for being here. I'll start by introducing you and then we can talk about the book. |
Sounds good. |
Everyone:
Bobbi Brown, as you may or may not know, is a beauty
expert. She has worked with some of the most beautiful
faces in the world. Super models, movie stars, pop
sensations... and she is here tonight to share her
expertise with us. To help teens she has written a book
for teens called "Teenage Beauty". Bobbi: What inspired you to write "Bobbi Brown Teenage Beauty"? |
The reason I wrote the book is because there are so many girls who are so beautiful and so special, but they just don't see it. Even women I know don't appreciate their own beauty and I believe that if they could've learned to appreciate it at a younger age they'd be a lot happier as grown ups. |
You devote a lot of time in your book talking about self-esteem and role models. How do these things relate to beauty? |
It's very important to find a role model who you can relate to. For example, if you're a brunette and short don't look at Christie Brinkley or Cheryl Tiegs to immulate. Or if you are African or Asian American, don't look at a model who is white. Learn to appreciate your curly hair by looking at a great role model who also has curly hair. |
Let's get
down to the beauty Qs... You mention finding a role model you can relate too. That can be hard but from what I hear finding make up colors to match some ethnic skin tones is even harder. I have a question in queue that is good at this point relating to make tones and foundation. |
