What sorts of beauty things to teens not need to worry about at this point in their lives ? |
Lip liner is not necessary. False eyelashes definately not necessary. And any kind of contour is totally not necessary. And definately forget about dark, smokey eyes - you have many years before you should even go there. |
What about really dark red lipstick? How can a teen pull that off? Should they even try? |
Dark red lipstick is not recommended when you're a teen - it looks like you've gotten into mommy's makeup. Stick with sheer colors like ruby or cherry, red glosses are also a nice way to wear red. Red does make you look older and if you are very young it also makes you look silly. There are so many better colors to chose than red. End |
| sososavvy | How can you decide what your "best features" are? |
Your best features can be your eyes, lips, your skin, your hair and it's very possible to have more than one. You usually know because you often get comments from people complimenting you on one of your features. If they haven't begun, don't worry, they will. |

What is a good age to start wearing make up? |
I think makeup could be worn when you're about 12. Some girls when they're 10 or 11 like to wear a little clear gloss or a touch of shimmer on the eyelid at parties. Many girls have to work with mom or dad and figure out the best age for makeup. Eyeliner and mascara are definately better for parties when you're 12 and 13. When you're 16, 17, and 18 you can get away with a little bit more. And remember, if it's really natural, mom and dad will hardly know that you're wearing any!!! |
