Answer: Simple, if we call right away we’ll seem too interested and you may get spooked. After all no girl wants a guy that she knows she can have whenever she wants, right? Well, right or wrong that is how we see it and that is why we wait. Mind you if we are head-over-heels in to you we may call right away just because our excitement at thinking that you like us the way that we like you causes a breakdown to occur where we forget this simple rule. This doesn’t mean that the guy who waits is less interested than the one who doesn’t, it just means that the waiter has either 1) more practice in the game of love, or 2) better self-control. So don’t sweat if the guy who seemed so eager to get your number doesn’t dial it for a few days, it is a normal, some might say genetically programmed, response to getting digits from a girl we like.
