Tina has a degree in Psychology and Womens Studies from the University of British Columbia.
Experience
Tina has worked with youth in both a personal and professional capacity for over 10 years. As a special needs foster parent she has seen teens through some extremely challenging life situations. She has first hand experience helping teens deal with alcoholism, teen pregnancy and suicide. She spent 4 years as a youth worker at a rape relief center and volunteered as a crisis line counselor while studying at the University of British Columbia.As an entertainment writer she has done celebrity interviews and reviews. Her freelance work has covered a vast range of topics; chemicals in beauty products, suicide prevention, relationship violence, Internet safety and dating advice. She has been a frequent contributor to Teen Advice since 2003.
