Lots of teens worry about their appearance and many feel that they're unattractive. Even some of the world's most "attractive" people share this worry about not looking good enough. Find out how to stop beating yourself up, boost your confidence and worry about what really matters.
First of all, it's important to realize that beauty is a funny thing. What's physically attractive to one person often isn't attractive at all to another person. Plus, the way you look is only one small part of what makes you attractive to others. The way you carry yourself, your personality and sense of humor, the way you treat other people -- these things matter a ton, too.
Second, having glasses is pretty cool! Lots of conventionally "attractive" people wear 'em. Alicia Keys, Rivers Cuomo of Weezer, Pete Wentz, Rose McGowan, Adam Sander and Johnny Depp all wear glasses. Even fashion-design icon Calvin Klein wears them!
Third, you can take steps to have more confidence and feel better about yourself. Try making a list of five or six things you like about the way you look and read through the list three times a day. Find a color you look great in and try to wear it more often. Think about experimenting with some frames for your glasses that are a different style: Some styles work better with certain face shapes, so be sure to try lots of different pairs on. There are lots of fun styles out there for teens right now: You're sure to find one you love!
More importantly, though, do something each day to build your self-esteem and help you feel good about yourself.
