How Did the Breakup Go Down?
This was my first boyfriend and I was kind of old to have my first boyfriend. My best friend had hooked me up with her cousin. All three of us and a few other people spent almost every day of summer vacation together. My boyfriend and I talked on the phone every night until one of us fell asleep. Then one day my best friend that hooked us up called me out of the blue, laughing and told me that my boyfriend said he wanted to break up with me because I was too childish. Me and my friend started arguing, then I called him to see if it was true, he said yea and he still loved me but I had to grow up a little bit.
How Did You Get Over the Breakup?
It took me only a week to get over the breakup, even though I thought that it would take forever! But school started and I started to get attention from a lot of people that never seemed to notice me before in middle school. I really liked high school. And that really helped me out with the breakup, also for the fact that I was with all of my old, real, friends, and new friends. It also helped to get out of the house and have my mind on other things.
Lessons Learned
- don't trust everything someone tells you, even if they are your best friend
- don't let yourself fall in love too fast
- and don't think that every person that says I love you really and truly means it.
