How Did the Breakup Go Down?
He gave my friend a letter to give to me. I read it on my walk home with my best friend right beside me. As I read it I started to cry and she helped walk me home the rest of the way. When I got home I told my mom and she said "no, no, he is not breaking up with you through a letter. Have him call you or do it face to face," so I had him call me and he asked me if my mom really said no. And I said yes. We agreed to break up but remain friends. Then I found out he'd been cheating on me and I ended the friendship and everything all together. Now he stalks me from afar and has my friends spy on me by dating them.
How Did You Get Over the Breakup?
It took me a while but when I found out he was cheating on me I lost all respect I had for the guy, and all my love for him was and still is gone. He's nothing to me now. I've moved on and now have a wonderful boyfriend who I know won't cheat or lie. So the guy that broke up with me is now just a crazy stalker ex boyfriend who needs to get over himself and get it through his head that I'm never I repeat NEVER coming back to him.
Lessons Learned
- I should have realized it, but the lesson learned here, is don't date a guy who admits to you he has a history of cheating because usually history repeats itself. But if I had to change one thing about the breakup I would have told him no when he asked if we could still be friends instead of sitting around waiting for him to show up for 4 months then have to deal with all the crap he put me through for another 4 months.
