How Did it Happen?
My first boyfriend and I had dated for a week. But I was a freshman; I wasn't mentally prepared for a boyfriend yet. So I broke up with him a few days before Valentine's Day. That Friday had been a 13th, the day before Valentine's, and everyone else had gotten something. Whenever I got to my Theatre class, my ex gave me some Valentine's Day chocolate. I told him thank you and gave him a hug. After I began to pull away from the hug, he kissed me. I wanted to cry because it seemed like the sweetest thing in the world to me. It was spontaneous and completely unexpected. It was scary because it was my first kiss and we were in the classroom, RIGHT BEHIND MY TEACHER! But mostly, it was heartbreaking because it was then that I realized that I still cared about him. Now, a year later, I miss him more than anything.
Advice
- Other than the setting, nothing. It was great and I wouldn't change the person who it was with or anything else (besides the setting; behind a teacher is SCARY!)
