How Did it Happen?
We were in the same club and group of friends, so we knew each other since my first semester at school. However, I didn't start liking him until the end of spring semester of my freshman year. I was oblivious and inexperienced. I tried to flirt with him whenever I could and over Facebook and MSN into the summer until school started again. I went early, because I was on the Orientation Committee, and he had been there all summer because he worked for the computer help desk. We hung out every night after my OC business was done, and then it just...happened. One night he was drunk and had his head in my lap until we fell asleep. The night after, we were up late talking again about some drama with our friends. I wasn't sure if he remembered the previous night, but I realized that he had when he rested his head on my lap again! He eventually sat up and put his arm around me and ran his fingers through my hair. I put my arm around him and did the same. I looked up at him and he looked at me, but right when I thought he would kiss me, he got up and closed the door. He came back with a smile on his face and sat down on the couch really close to me, leaned in and just started kissing me. I was scared at first, having no idea what to do, but he guided me through it. He was totally cool about it. We became too uncomfortable on his couch and moved to his bed. We made out until 4am, just releasing all the built-up romantic tension. It was fantastic.
Advice
- Don't worry about it too much. As cliche as it sounds, when the right moment comes, you'll know. Girls and guys, if your hair is long enough to be pulled back, do it. It can get in the way.
