When Did You Realize It was Love?
I started to notice I was feeling more weird and nervous around him.
What Did It Feel Like?
After I met him, I started to notice that when he touched me, my heart flew a little bit, or it would beat faster. My face got red a lot when I was around him and he would ask why, I would say I don't know. I felt strange. When he hugged me before he was leaving, I was always happy afterward. He didn't have a clue I was in love with him, but he found out later on.
What Happened Next?
(This is pretty recent, I'm only 13 anyway. Names were changed.)
I told my friend that I was in love with him and I told her never to say a word to him. Sadly, she didn't keep her promise. A couple weeks afterward when I was hanging out with him and my other friends, she appeared and yelled, "Guess what, Steve? Emily loves you!" He went frozen for a few moments then looked at me. My face flushed to bright red. I was quiet for the next couple of hours around him while they talked. After a while, I started to see he was getting more shy around me. His body language was showing signs, I could tell he had a crush on me too. We are not dating, yet, but am hoping I can get to ask him out.
Lessons Learned
- Never tell a friend that you love someone, you cannot trust everyone you know.
