What Year were You a High School Freshman?
2007 (I think)
How Big is Your High School?
Massive, it was 5 schools built into one.
What was Your Very First High School Class?
I have no idea...Probably in form sorting things out and making friends.
What was the Worst Moment of Your First Day?
I don't recall having a worst moment, but it was always humiluating when your older friend takes you to his friends in his class and belittles you...Some other people had a real rough time as well on their first day since my school is very rough I guess :/
I didn't get lost on the first day as we all had to have older students show us around because of how big the school was. But I did get lost trying to make my way up the confusing towerblocks to my maths class >.>
Playing football (soccer) with older students....Nothing worse than clashing with the older "toughies"
What was the Best Moment of Your First Day?
Recieving my planner seemed to make me feel older somehow....Primary school always seemed very simple and childish, whereas in secondary it is way more complex and you have to grow up to survive.
Meeting your future best friends is always great. The food at dinner in my first year was awesome and very cheap, now it is a load of junk and very expensive -.-
Although I shouldn't find this funny, I almost killed this guy by accidently turning round quickly and getting my finger caught hard in his neck, he was choking on the floor hehe. People seen that and must have thought I was lethal haha.
The hardest part for some is getting off the bus/car to take your first steps into a whole new world. I guess I was kinda excited and not worried much as my once best friend would help me out. Turns out that he is one of the most popular people in the school and acts like a total idiot to impress people :(
And suprisingly I was actually looking forward to the next day of school, the first 2 weeks were so easy but you get used to things very quickly so don't worry about it.
I hardly had to do anything all day (workwise) I was expecting really hard work from Day 1 and full of tests etc.
I will always remember the sound of the centre (AKA the Quad) Just amazing atmosphere, older students trying to impress the new girls, the girls all screaming annoying, and the tension of the new boys trying to keep cool.
I remember looking at all the students running to catch the bus down the long strip of path (them darn buses don't wait long for people o.O)
What I'd Do Differently
- I wish I would have tried to mix with more people back when I had the chance.
- I honestly don't know
- Tips:
- Be open to people and welcoming, you don't want to end up with no friends...
- If you're not a total rebel try and keep quiet around teachers for about 2 weeks, that way you can get away with a lot more things and people don't think you're a show-off or annoying.
- You go to school for about 6 years...You have plenty of time to fix things up.
- Enjoy yourself but don't forget to actually pay attention to the things teachers say as you will be totally lost otherwise.
